City of Culver City issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.
The Higuera Street bridge is closed now until December 2022 as it is being replaced to include 4 vehicle lanes, bike lanes, sidewalks and traffic signal, paving and striping improvements. The Ballona Creek Bike Path will be closed from now until October 15 for demolition.
Most of the work will be done between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday - Friday. However, intermittent weekend work is planned as well. Due to the bridge closure, traffic will be detoured to National Blvd, Hayden Avd, Eastham Dr, and Jefferson Blvd.
