In a recent announcement, the city of Santa Monica revealed the winners of the 28th annual Sustainable Quality Awards. Among the distinguished recipients, Patagonia Santa Monica was recognized as the grand prize winner for its outstanding commitment to sustainability.

Alongside Patagonia Santa Monica, five other local businesses were acknowledged for their contributions in various areas of sustainability. Angeles Investment Advisors received accolades for excellence in economic development, while Avocado Green Mattress and HGA were commended for their exemplary stewardship of the environment. Physical Therapyworks was recognized for its dedication to social responsibility, and Yoga-urt stood out for excelling in both economic development and environmental stewardship.

The Sustainable Quality Awards program, a collaborative effort between the city and Santa Monica-based environmental education nonprofit Sustainable Works, aims to honor businesses that demonstrate excellence in sustainable economic development, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship. These awards highlight the crucial role that businesses play in advancing Santa Monica towards a more sustainable future.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the annual Sustainable Quality Awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 1, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Annenberg Community Beach House located at 415 Pacific Coast Highway.

This recognition underscores the importance of sustainability in business practices and celebrates the efforts of organizations that are dedicated to creating a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible community.
