Andres Snaider joins The UCLA Foundation's board

UCLA alumnus Andres Snaider has joined the board of directors of The UCLA Foundation. He graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1988 and obtained a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School in 1991. Snaider is recognized as an executive, entrepreneur, international lawyer, educator, and investor with over three decades of experience.

Snaider began his term on October 7, serving alongside Cheryl Lott, the new board chair who started her two-year tenure on July 1.

During his career, Snaider has led international technology and professional services companies. He co-founded a cloud computing company that was acquired by a major publicly traded corporation in 2019. Recently, he has concentrated on enhancing workplace culture and talent development at a professional services firm which grew significantly under his guidance. Snaider is also involved as a founding investor in a venture capital fund aimed at diversifying leadership within its portfolio.

Apart from his professional work, Snaider is committed to volunteerism. He has served consecutive terms as chair of the university relations committee for the UCLA Latino Alumni Association. His philanthropic contributions include endowing the Snaider–Garriga Family Scholarship to support study-abroad opportunities for undergraduates at UCLA.

The board of The UCLA Foundation is composed of elected members along with ex-officio members and staff. It serves as an advisory body to the university and promotes philanthropy across campus while providing oversight for the UCLA Investment Company.
