City of Culver City issued the following announcement on Feb. 26.

#CulverCity businesses are subject to LA County’s New Health Officer Order issued February 23, 2022, effective February 25, 2022, related to masking. The City’s existing vaccine verification requirement for certain indoor businesses and City facilities remains in place.

As COVID-19 cases, test positivity rates and hospitalizations continue to decrease, the County has changed its indoor masking requirement. Businesses may now to choose to allow vaccinated people to remove masks indoors if the businesses meets the requirements outlined by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

A business may choose to continue to require masks indoors for everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Regardless of the masking option that a business chooses, proof of COVID-19 vaccination continues to be required for select types of businesses, per the City's Vaccine Verification Requirement (38th Supplement to Public Order).

These select types of businesses may choose to begin vaccine verification, but they are not required to by the City. If these types of businesses choose to not begin verifying vaccination status, everyone must continue to wear masks indoors.

Well-fitting masks continue to be required to be worn by everyone, 2 years of age and older, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status, in the following settings:

On public transit

In transportation hubs

Indoors in K-12 schools, childcare and other youth settings

Healthcare settings

State and local correctional facilities and detention centers

Homeless shelters, emergency shelters and cooling centers
