Junior outfielder Will Gasparino has been named the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance in athletic competitions from February 10 to 16. Gasparino’s week included going 7-for-13 at the plate, hitting five home runs, driving in 13 runs, and scoring seven times. He also drew four walks and was hit by a pitch twice. His efforts helped lead the Bruins to a sweep over No. 7 TCU.

Gasparino had two games with multiple home runs: first in a midweek victory over Tulane and again during the series finale against TCU. Over the week, he posted a slugging percentage of 1.769 and an on-base percentage of .684, while successfully handling all seven defensive chances in the outfield.

This is Gasparino’s first time receiving UCLA’s student-athlete of the week award.

Other nominees for this week’s honor included Lauren Betts (women’s basketball), Jordan Chiles (gymnastics), Donovan Dent (men’s basketball), Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer (women’s tennis), Rosie Murphy (swimming & diving), Taylor Smith (women’s water polo), Cameron Thorne (men’s volleyball), Ava Williamson/Harper Cooper (beach volleyball), and Jordan Woolery (softball).

The university also provided a list of previous winners from various sports dating back to August 2025.
