On Sunday, March 1, at noon, former Palisades Charter High School standout Tate Foxson took the mound for the UNLV Rebels as they dropped a 5-3 decision in their NCAA Division I baseball matchup with the Santa Clara Broncos.
The contest, held at Stephen Schott Stadium, marked the third meeting this season between UNLV and Santa Clara. The Rebels picked up an 8-5 win in their prior game on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Foxson pitched two innings, surrendering one earned run with two walks and striking out three batters.
UNLV is set to face the Northern Colorado Bears next, with the game scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, at 8:05 p.m. at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.
