Incoming UCLA freshman Sienna Betts has advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2025 FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in Brno, Czechia. Betts, playing for USA Basketball, helped her team secure a 3-0 record in group play by defeating South Korea, Hungary, and Israel. The USA team averaged a winning margin of 61.7 points per game and scored over 100 points in two out of three matches.
Betts is currently the second-leading scorer for Team USA, with an average of 17.3 points per game during the first three victories. Her standout performance included scoring 25 points against South Korea in just 18 minutes. Against Hungary, she contributed with a strong defensive effort despite being limited to 13 points. In the final group phase match against Israel, Betts achieved a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Heading into the Round of 16 against China on July 16th, Betts ranks seventh in the tournament for points per game and holds notable positions in field goal percentage, rebounds, and blocks.
