Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer from the UCLA women’s tennis team has been recognized for her academic achievements, earning her second Academic All-America selection. This announcement was made by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. Lutkemeyer was named to the third team, repeating her accomplishment from 2024. She joins Karen Dewis as one of only two athletes in the program’s history to receive this honor twice.
Between 1983 and 2022, women’s tennis Academic All-Americans were acknowledged under the at-large category. Previous honorees include Tian Fangran, Elise Wagle, Annette Goulak, Amanda Basica, Annica Cooper, and Karen Dewis.
Lutkemeyer is pursuing a major in environmental science with a cumulative GPA of 3.63. Her performance on the court during the 2024-25 season was notable as she advanced from playing on lower courts to Court 1. She achieved a record of 10-4 in top-court singles matches and went on to achieve a total record of 27-10 including tournament play. Lutkemeyer participated in her first NCAA Championships singles tournament last fall and reached the second round. She achieved a career-best No. 16 ranking in ITA singles before finishing at No. 33.
In doubles competition, Lutkemeyer had an impressive season with an overall record of 29-10 and a dual-match play record of 17-6. She secured six doubles points with partner Ahmani Guichard.
