UCLA women’s rowing to compete in 2026 San Diego Crew Classic this weekend

UCLA Women’s Rowing will participate in the 2026 San Diego Crew Classic, sending seven shells to compete over the weekend, according to a March 26 announcement from the university.

The event is a significant fixture for collegiate rowing teams and provides an opportunity for athletes to test their skills against other programs. The competition is scheduled to begin with preliminary rounds and heats on Saturday, March 28.

According to UCLA Athletics, racing will start at 10 a.m. Pacific Time with the women’s varsity eight in the Jessop-Whitter Cup/Cal Cup Collegiate Invitational Heat 1. Other events throughout the day include races for varsity four, second varsity eight, B four, novice eight, and open eight categories. The full schedule lists races running until shortly after noon.

The Bruins’ participation at this regatta offers valuable experience as they prepare for upcoming competitions during their season.
