The UCLA women’s golf team, currently ranked No. 11 nationally, will compete in the Alice and John Wallace Classic at Monterey Country Club from February 14 to 16. The tournament is a three-day, 54-hole stroke play event.

UCLA’s lineup for the event includes Kacey Ly, Jenny Lee, Maye Huang, Meghan Royal, and Angela Liu. Jennifer Seo will participate as an individual competitor.

Sixteen teams are scheduled to participate in the tournament. Notable programs include No. 2-ranked USC and No. 10-ranked Vanderbilt, along with UCLA.

Weather forecasts predict partly cloudy conditions with possible rain on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to range from the mid-60s to mid-70s.

The course will play at par 71 over 6,108 yards.

Statistical leaders for UCLA this season include Maye Huang with a scoring average of 71.9 across 11 rounds and Jenny Lee leading in under-par rounds (9), top-10 finishes (2), top-20 finishes (3), and birdies (55). Angela Liu has posted a par-or-better percentage of 82.5%.

According to the World Amateur Golf Ranking as of February 11, Jenny Lee is ranked No. 130 after previously being at No. 930; Angela Liu is at No. 136; Meghan Royal is at No. 333; Kacey Ly moved from No. 308 to No. 353; and Maye Huang is at No. 399.

At their previous tournament on February 2—the Therese Hession Regional Challenge—UCLA secured its first team title of the season with a total score of -8 (844), finishing eleven strokes ahead of Texas and defeating six top-25 teams by at least ten strokes.

Sophomore Jenny Lee was named Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week while freshman Kacey Ly received Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on February 5 following their performances at Palos Verdes earlier in the month.

Lee finished tied for first through regulation at -5 but lost in a playoff for individual medalist honors; her score matched her career-best over three rounds set last fall. It was her third top-20 result this season and second time finishing first or tied for first after regulation play.

Ly achieved career bests by finishing fourth overall with a -3 scorecard including two sub-70 rounds—her first as a Bruin—and recording UCLA’s lowest single-round score (-4) during the final round of that event.

UCLA’s roster includes Maye Huang (Katy, Texas), Jenny Lee (Osan, South Korea), Angela Liu (Irvine, Calif.), Kacey Ly (Temple City, Calif.), Meghan Royal (Carlsbad, Calif.), Jennifer Seo (Chandler, Ariz.), Zoe Sprecher (Sierra Madre, Calif.), and GaEun Athena Yoo (Alpharetta, Ga.).
