The University of California, Los Angeles announced on Apr. 30 that its women’s golf team has been chosen as the No. 3 seed for the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, scheduled from May 11 to May 13 at Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.

This selection marks UCLA’s 36th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and continues a streak of postseason berths under head coach Alicia Um Holmes, who is in her third season leading the program. In Holmes’ first year during the 2023-24 season, UCLA finished fourth at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional and later secured a runner-up position at the NCAA Championships.

The Bruins will compete against eleven other teams in Tallahassee: Florida (No.1), Wake Forest (No.2), Florida State (No.4), Eastern Michigan (No.5), Kentucky (No.6), Purdue (No.7), Clemson (No.8), Louisiana-Monroe (No.9), North Florida (No.10), Arkansas-Little Rock (No.11) and UTRGV (No.12). The top five teams from each regional site, along with six individuals not on advancing teams, will move forward to compete in the NCAA Championships held from May 22 to May 27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

UCLA has prior experience at this regional location; most recently, they tied for second place during their visit to Tallahassee in spring of 2022.

Other regional sites for this year’s tournament include Ann Arbor, Michigan; Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Huntsville, Alabama; Stanford, California; and Waco, Texas.
