The UCLA track and field team will compete in the 2026 New Mexico Collegiate Classic, returning to Albuquerque for the second time this indoor season. The meet is scheduled for February 6-7 at the Indoor Track in the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Teams participating alongside UCLA include LSU, Arizona, Cal State Fullerton, Iowa, California, Northern Arizona, Mississippi, TCU, Stanford, Texas Tech, USC and host school New Mexico. The event features a range of track and field competitions across two days.
UCLA previously visited Albuquerque for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational earlier this season. During that meet, the Bruins set three school records and tied for most event wins with six victories. Graduate sprinter and hurdler Yanla Ndjip-Nyemeck recorded a time of 7.96 seconds in the women’s 60m hurdles—a mark that led all NCAA competitors and established a new school record. Michael Pinckney set a men’s weight throw record with a distance of 22.33 meters (73-3.25), while Keilee Hall broke the women’s 600m record with a time of 1:29.92. All three athletes won their respective events.
The schedule for this weekend’s competition begins Friday at 10 a.m. PT with field events starting as early as 10:00 a.m., while multis begin at 8:45 a.m.. Saturday’s events start at 9:00 a.m., with multis opening at 8:20 a.m.. Live results are available through RT Timing and streaming coverage is provided by FloTrack.
Events over both days will include sprints, middle-distance races, relays, hurdles and various field events such as pole vaults, jumps and throws.
