The University of California, Los Angeles announced on Apr. 1 that its No. 10 ranked softball team will play four home games at Easton Stadium this week, starting with a matchup against Hawai’i on Thursday, April 2. The Bruins will then face Indiana in a three-game series from Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5. All three games against Indiana are scheduled to be streamed on BigTenPlus.com.
These upcoming games mark an important stretch for the Bruins (25-5 overall, 10-2 Big Ten) as they continue their season and look to build on recent successes both individually and as a team.
According to the announcement, single-game tickets for all remaining home games are available for purchase. Fans can also gain entry by purchasing the Olympic Sports Card for $110 or by contacting UCLA Athletics directly via phone or email.
Several milestones have been reached this season by head coach Kelly Inouye-Perez and her players. Inouye-Perez became UCLA’s all-time winningest head coach earlier this year with her 888th victory and recently achieved her 900th career win during a game at Rutgers on March 22. Senior Megan Grant leads the nation in several offensive categories including slugging percentage (1.456), while teammate Jordan Woolery is first nationally in RBIs (71). The Bruins’ offense has produced over one hundred home runs so far this season—just five shy of breaking their single-season record set in 2010.
Other highlights include multiple players being named to the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List and returning All-America seniors who continue to contribute significantly both offensively and defensively.
Looking ahead, fans can watch non-televised UCLA home games and road conference matchups through Big Ten Plus streaming service with various subscription options available.
