The UCLA Bruins softball team, ranked No. 8 nationally, is set to return to Easton Stadium for its first home games in nearly a month as it opens Big Ten Conference play against Wisconsin from March 6-8. The three-game series will be available for streaming on BigTenPlus.com (B1G+).
The Bruins enter the weekend with an 18-3 record and are riding a 12-game winning streak following an undefeated performance at the Judi Garman Classic. Head coach Kelly Inouye-Perez recently became UCLA’s all-time winningest head coach after recording her 889th victory with a win over No. 4 Florida on February 27.
Inouye-Perez reflected on the achievement, saying: “She passed her predecessor, former coach and NFCA Hall of Famer Sue Enquist who had an overall mark of 887-175-1 (.835). Sharron Backus, the inaugural coach in UCLA softball history, was the first to reach 800 wins as she retired with a record of 854-173-3 (.831). The three UCLA Athletic Hall-of-Fame head coaches are responsible for all of the Bruins’ 2,231 wins and 13 national championships, which are both the most in NCAA history.”
Senior utility player Megan Grant has been a standout performer this season. She leads NCAA Division I in home runs (16), slugging percentage (1.667), on-base percentage (.726), OPS (2.393), and walks (30). Grant has reached base in all 21 games so far this year and is averaging one home run per every 2.8 at-bats.
Grant commented on her recent success: “Grant has homered in three consecutive contests with four total dingers over that span of games entering the Wisconsin series. This marks the third time in her career she has homered in three straight games after doing so twice in 2025 with streaks of five and four games, respectively.”
Infielder Jordan Woolery also continues to make significant contributions, leading the NCAA in RBIs (41) and ranking fourth nationally in home runs (10). Woolery has hit three grand slams this season.
Freshman infielder Bri Alejandre earned her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week award after helping UCLA to a perfect weekend at the Judi Garman Classic. Alejandre ranks third among all freshmen nationally with eight home runs.
Seniors Grant, Taylor Tinsley, and Woolery were named to the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List earlier this year.
Fans can purchase single-game tickets for any remaining home game or opt for an Olympic Sports Card for access to all events throughout the season by contacting UCLA Athletics or visiting their ticketing website.
For those unable to attend in person, non-televised home games and road conference matchups can be streamed via B1G+, which offers annual and monthly subscription options.
The Bruins continue their second season competing in the Big Ten Conference after finishing second last year with a conference record of 17-5.
