UCLA men’s soccer head coach Ryan Jorden has announced the addition of eight new players to the program’s recruiting class for the upcoming fall season. The group consists of five Division I graduate transfers, two undergraduate transfers, and one European undergraduate signee.

The newcomers are Kevin Box from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Andrew Brown from Wisconsin, Konstantinos Georgallides from UNC Greensboro, Ander Marticorena from Spain, Schinieder Mimy from Oral Roberts, Oliver Roche from Virginia Tech, Sean Sent from Washington, and Sergi Solans from Oregon State.

Kevin Box is a goalkeeper who spent four seasons at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in California. He was recognized as a three-time SIAC All-Academic team honoree and earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in 2023. Coach Jorden commented on Box: “Kevin is an experienced goalkeeper with good organizational qualities.”

Andrew Brown joins as a centerback with experience at Wisconsin where he made 48 appearances over three seasons. Coach Jorden noted: “Drew is a terrifically experienced centerback who has a desire to break lines with his passing.”

Konstantinos Georgallides arrives as a midfielder after playing for UNC Greensboro and Louisville. He played 15 matches last season at UNC Greensboro. Coach Jorden said: “A shifty and creative attacker, Konstantinos brings experience and defense-unlocking qualities.”

Ander Marticorena comes to UCLA after playing in Spain’s third tier for CD Subiza. Coach Jorden remarked: “Ander has a very good background and pedigree of football coming from his club in Spain.”

Schinieder Mimy is a defender who played 34 matches at Oral Roberts University. Coach Jorden described him as: “A two-way left-sided defender” with great attacking qualities.

Oliver Roche is a forward transferring from Virginia Tech where he scored nine goals over two seasons. Coach Jorden stated: “Oliver will be a huge asset at the front of the team.”

Sean Sent joins UCLA after four seasons with Washington where he appeared in 39 matches. Coach Jorden praised him for his understanding of midfield dynamics.

Finally, Sergi Solans arrives as a forward who had an impressive season at Oregon State with 14 goals. He was drafted by Real Salt Lake in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft this year. Coach Jorden commented on Solans’ capabilities upfront.
