The UCLA men’s golf program has announced the signing of Logan Kim, a rising sophomore, to a grant-in-aid agreement. The announcement was made by Bruins’ head coach Armen Kirakossian.

Kim, who hails from Altadena, California, will join UCLA as a sophomore for the 2025-26 season after completing his freshman year at Stanford University. During his time at Stanford, Kim participated in ten competitions and achieved a scoring average of 72.7. Notably, he tied for 24th place at the NCAA Amherst Regional in Virginia last May with a score of +2, 212.

“Logan is a guy who we had recruited heavily the first time around in the 2024 class,” Kirakossian stated. “We are very excited to have the opportunity to coach him. He has a very natural golf swing and he’s an impressive ball striker. He has elite-level skills, he’s a person who we think very highly of, and he can really make an impact on the golf course.”

Kirakossian further expressed enthusiasm about Kim’s potential contributions to the team: “We are excited to see what he can bring to our squad this year. He has shown that he can play at the highest level.” Kim’s accomplishments include winning the 2024 Junior World Championship at Torrey Pines.

During the 2024-25 collegiate season, Kim recorded his best finish with a tie for 13th place at The Prestige Individual tournament in Indio, California. He shot an 8-over 224 over three rounds at The Golf Club at Terra Lago.

Ranked as the No. 4 recruit in California by Junior Golf Scoreboard, Kim concluded his high school career with several top-10 finishes on the AJGA Tour and secured first place in the 2024 Junior World Championship with a score of 3-under 213 over three rounds at Torrey Pines in La Jolla.
