The UCLA men’s basketball team is set to face California in a non-conference game on November 25 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. This match is part of the Empire Classic Benefitting Wounded Warrior Project and features a four-team lineup that includes Sacramento State and Presbyterian.
Mick Cronin, The Michael Price Family UCLA Men’s Head Basketball Coach, expressed enthusiasm about the addition of California to their schedule. “We are thrilled to add Cal to our non-conference schedule this season,” he said. He encouraged Northern California alumni and fans to support the team at Chase Center. “This is a win-win for college basketball on the West Coast, and we’re excited to add this game to our schedule in November.”
As part of the Empire Classic, UCLA will also host Sacramento State and Presbyterian at Pauley Pavilion. The game against Sacramento State is set for November 18, while they will play Presbyterian on November 21.
Tickets for these games can be requested by Wooden Athletic Fund members, season ticket holders, and Den Pass holders through UCLA. Ticket allocation will depend on recognition level, lifetime giving to UCLA Athletics, and consecutive years as a season ticket member.
The upcoming game against California marks their first meeting since splitting two regular-season contests in the 2023-24 season. Historically, UCLA holds a 147-101 record against California.
In addition to facing California, UCLA has scheduled neutral-site games against Arizona at Intuit Dome in Inglewood on November 14 and Gonzaga at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on December 13.
This event will be UCLA’s debut appearance at Chase Center, which opened as the home of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors before the 2019-20 season.
