The UCLA men’s golf team has received the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, according to an announcement from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday.
The award is given to men’s golf programs that achieve a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. The GCAA recognizes collegiate teams with a GPA above 3.0 and also distinguishes those with a GPA over 3.5.
UCLA was one of several NCAA Division I programs to be recognized as “All-Academic” for maintaining a team GPA of at least 3.0 during the academic year. The Bruins finished their season at the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2018 after winning the 2025 Big Ten Championship.
Senior Pablo Ereño earned recognition this summer as a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar for the third straight year. Ereño, who was named the 2024-25 Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Year, also received Academic All-America Men’s At-Large first-team honors following UCLA’s spring season.
Redshirt sophomore Matthew Yamin was acknowledged at the end of the school year on UCLA’s All-Academic Team as having achieved the highest cumulative GPA among members of his athletics team.
