The UCLA men’s basketball team is set to face Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in Madison on Tuesday evening. The game will begin at 6 p.m. Pacific Time and will be broadcast live on Peacock, with radio coverage available on AM 790 (KABC) in Los Angeles.
UCLA enters the matchup with a 10-4 overall record and a 2-1 mark in Big Ten play, while Wisconsin stands at 9-5 overall and 1-2 in conference games. This contest marks UCLA’s first visit to Wisconsin since December 1962, making it only the third time the Bruins have played there.
In recent weeks, UCLA has shown strong performance, finishing December with a 5-1 record that included victories over Washington and Oregon. As of January 4, the Bruins are ranked second in the Big Ten for three-point shooting percentage (38.8%) and sixth for free throw shooting (75.9%). Tyler Bilodeau has led the team offensively over the past seven games, averaging 20.7 points per game.
Skyy Clark has also contributed significantly, making 53.5% of his three-point attempts during December and averaging nearly 16 points per game over his last nine appearances. Clark was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week on December 22 and currently leads the conference in three-point shooting percentage at 48.6%. He is approaching a career milestone with just under 50 points needed to reach 1,000 career points.
“Skyy Clark was named the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week on Monday, Dec. 22, for the first time in his career,” according to UCLA Athletics.
Bilodeau ranks eighth among all Big Ten players in scoring this season with an average of 18.3 points per game and has shot over 53% from the field as well as nearly 92% from the free throw line.
UCLA’s guard Donovan Dent is averaging both double-digit points (13.5) and assists (6.5) per game this season after transferring from New Mexico during the offseason. His assist numbers place him third among all Big Ten players.
The Bruins’ roster includes several returning contributors from last season along with five incoming transfers such as Xavier Booker from Michigan State and Jamar Brown from UMKC.
Head coach Mick Cronin continues to achieve success at UCLA; between the start of his tenure prior to the 2019–20 season through last year he guided UCLA to an impressive home record of 88 wins against just fifteen losses at Pauley Pavilion.
Since joining Pauley Pavilion sixty years ago—aside from renovations requiring temporary relocation—the Bruins have maintained a strong home-court advantage, winning fifteen out of seventeen home games last year alone.
The team’s schedule remains challenging throughout January with eight more games ahead—split evenly between home and away matchups—including contests against ranked opponents such as Iowa and Purdue.
Tickets for remaining home games are available through official channels provided by UCLA Athletics or by contacting their ticket office directly via phone or email.
As part of its ongoing trends under Coach Cronin’s leadership, UCLA has excelled when forcing turnovers or leading at halftime: they hold a near-perfect record this season when ahead after two quarters or when committing fewer turnovers than their opponents.
The Bruins’ next home game will be against Maryland on Saturday, January 10th at Pauley Pavilion.
