UCLA Bruins open indoor track season at Spokane Sports Showcase

The UCLA Bruins track and field team will begin its 2026 indoor season on Friday, January 16, at the Spokane Sports Showcase. The event will take place at The Podium in downtown Spokane, Washington.

In addition to UCLA, teams participating in the one-day meet include USC, California, UC Santa Barbara, Sacramento State, Fresno State, and Gonzaga.

Live results for the competition will be available online. A live stream of the event can be accessed through RunnerSpace.com with a paid subscription.

Track events are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time with women’s and men’s 60-meter hurdles preliminaries. Other races throughout the day include sprints such as the 60 meters and 200 meters, middle-distance races like the mile and 800 meters, as well as relays including the women’s and men’s 4×400-meter relay later in the afternoon.

Field events will begin at 10:00 a.m., featuring competitions in weight throw, long jump, pole vault for both men and women, followed by high jump, shot put, triple jump events starting from midday onwards.

The schedule is designed so that athletes from all participating schools compete across various disciplines throughout the day.
