The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) women’s beach volleyball team will complete its regular season against the University of Southern California (USC) on April 16 at Merle Norman Stadium. The match is scheduled for noon and will be broadcast on Big Ten Plus.

This matchup marks the third consecutive week that UCLA, currently ranked No. 1 with a record of 26-4, faces No. 3 USC, which holds a record of 26-7. UCLA has won all three meetings this season, including their most recent encounter at the Center of Effort Challenge in San Luis Obispo on April 11.

UCLA recently concluded its home schedule with a perfect record after defeating CSU Bakersfield 5-0. The victory extended the Bruins’ NCAA record home winning streak to 37 matches; they have not lost at home since April 1, 2023. Key performances included wins by Hannah Fleming and Alexa Fernandez, Kaley Mathews and Ensley Alden, Ava Williamson and Adelina Okazaki, Kenzie Brower and Mallory LaBreche, as well as Maggie Boyd with Sally Perez.

Alden and Mathews were named MPSF/Molten Pair of the Week following three wins during the Center of Effort Beach Volleyball Challenge. Their performance contributed to an overall season record of 19-4 for the pair. Senior Maggie Boyd continues her climb up UCLA’s all-time victories list with a current total of 118 career wins.

Head coach Jenny Johnson Jordan is in her third year leading the program and has guided UCLA to consistent success in national rankings. Assistant coaches include Kelly Reeves—returning for her third season—and Theo Brunner in his first year with the team.

Looking ahead, UCLA will participate in the MPSF Tournament from April 22 to April 24 at Spiker Beach in Huntington Beach.
