Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer of the UCLA women’s tennis team has been named Big Ten Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, according to an announcement from the conference on Wednesday. This marks her fourth career recognition since the 2024-25 season.
Lutkemeyer secured a key victory against USC on February 27, defeating the nation’s 32nd-ranked player. Her win contributed to UCLA’s 6-1 result over their eighth-ranked rivals. The Bruins have now won four straight matches.
Her singles match ended with a 6-3, 7-6(4) win over Jana Hossam on Court 1, bringing UCLA’s lead to 4-0 at that point in the contest. Lutkemeyer remains undefeated this season in dual matches against nationally ranked singles opponents, holding a 4-0 record. She and doubles partner Ahmani Guichard were close to winning their match before it was abandoned.
Additionally, Lutkemeyer and freshman Mayu Crossley repeated as recipients of the Big Ten’s Player and Freshman of the Week honors. “Lutkemeyer is the first two-time Player of the Week in 2025-26. UCLA is the only program with four,” according to the release. Crossley previously won on February 4, while Guichard received honors on September 24, 2025.
The list of weekly honorees for Big Ten Women’s Tennis includes several players from different universities throughout the season, highlighting strong performances across teams.
