Uber Eats and Postmates have collaborated with Hugo's Tacos to provide meals for firefighters, first responders, and donation centers in Los Angeles. The announcement was made on Hugo's Tacos' Instagram account on January 16.

According to their Instagram post, Hugo’s Tacos donated food to the hotshot crew in Texas Canyon as a gesture of appreciation for their efforts in combating wildfires. The meals were intended to help refuel the crew after their long and demanding days on the front lines. This initiative underscores the importance of community support during crises.

The 2025 wildfires in Los Angeles County resulted in significant devastation, claiming 28 lives and destroying thousands of structures. Damages were estimated in the tens of billions of dollars. The Palisades Fire burned nearly 24,000 acres, while the Eaton Fire scorched over 14,000 acres, leaving Altadena heavily affected, according to LSE.
