University of California, Los Angeles hosts Learn@Lunch: What is Staff Assembly? Election Kickoff on April 4

When: Tue 4/4 • 12PM - 1PM PDT 

The UCLA Staff Assembly Executive Board will be hosting a Learn@Lunch on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm to kick off the Election Season. Executive Board members will present the roles, responsibilities, and time commitments associated with each position. This is an opportunity to learn about each position to determine if the role is a fit for you. In addition, the event will provide you with an understanding of what Staff Assembly is and what we do for the UCLA community and beyond.

Staff Assembly Executive Board Eligibility Requirements: The Executive Board shall be nominated and elected by the general Staff Assembly membership. The appointment period is July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. Any policy-covered staff who has completed one (1) year of employment at UCLA is eligible to be elected as a member of the Staff Assembly Executive Board. Nominees must not be exclusively
represented or employed in a position that is part of a collective bargaining unit. Staff may self-nominate.

Timeline of Events:
• April 4, 2023: L@L – What is Staff Assembly? Informational Webinar (Zoom webinar registration link)
• April 10, 2023 - April 28, 2023: Nomination Submission Period
• May 8, 2023 - May 19, 2023: Voting Period
• Week of May 22, 2023: Announcement of Elected Executive Board
