Cost of college went up for all students at Mount Saint Mary's University

Tuition and fees rose 3.9 percent for 2018-19 at Mount Saint Mary's University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California students paid $41,170 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,562 more than the $39,608 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 484 students received grants or scholarships totaling $12.3 million and 473 students took out student loans totaling more than $3 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,965), 2,236 students used grants or scholarships totaling $45.6 million, and 2,307 students took out $15.9 million in federal student loans.
