Senior Kiki Rice of UCLA Women’s Basketball was named Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for competitions held between March 3 and 9, according to a March 11 announcement from University of California, Los Angeles Athletics.

Rice received this recognition after being named Most Outstanding Player at the 2026 Allstate Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament. She helped lead UCLA to its second consecutive conference tournament title. Over three games in Indianapolis, Rice averaged 16.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game as the Bruins defeated No. 11 Ohio State and No. 9 Iowa.

In the opening round against Washington, Rice scored 18 points and recorded six assists with only one turnover in a quarterfinal win (78-60). She followed with a performance of 17 points and eight rebounds against Ohio State (72-62), making all four free throws in her 34 minutes on the court. In the final against Iowa, she contributed 15 points, eight rebounds, and three steals as UCLA won by a margin of 51 points (96-45), which marked the largest victory over an Associated Press top-10 opponent in NCAA era history and in any Big Ten Tournament game.

With these wins, the No. 2-ranked Bruins secured both the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, becoming only the tenth team in conference history to do so. This is Rice’s fifth career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.

Other nominees for this week’s honor included Jordan Chiles (gymnastics), Donovan Dent (men’s basketball), Will Gasparino (baseball), Sally Perez/Maggie Boyd (beach volleyball), Emon van Loben Sels (men’s tennis), and Jordan Woolery (softball). The announcement also listed previous winners from various sports throughout the academic year.
