UCLA senior Kiki Rice has been named to the Mid-Season Top 10 for the 2026 Nancy Lieberman Award, according to an announcement from the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
Rice is currently UCLA’s second-leading scorer, averaging 15.0 points per game. She is close to achieving a 50/40/90 season, with shooting percentages of .494 from the field, .400 from three-point range, and .902 from the free-throw line over 22 games. In addition to her scoring, Rice leads her team in defensive rebounds with 110 and has recorded 105 assists this season, averaging 4.8 assists per game. Her assist-to-turnover ratio stands at 3.18, which ranks first in the Big Ten Conference and seventh nationally.
Recently, Rice became only the fifth UCLA player to record more than 100 assists in each of her four seasons with the Bruins. She joins Ann Meyers, Erica Gomez, Nikki Blue, and Jordin Canada in this achievement.
The other candidates for the Nancy Lieberman Award are Liv McGill (Florida), Tonie Morgan (Kentucky), Zoe Brooks (N.C. State), Britt Prince (Nebraska), Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame), Aaliyah Chavez (Oklahoma), Raven Johnson (South Carolina), Olivia Miles (TCU), and Rori Harmon (Texas).
Fans can participate in voting during both remaining rounds starting February 6 at hoophallawards.com. The fan vote will be counted as one committee vote during finalist selection.
In mid-March, the list will be reduced to five finalists before winners are chosen by committees composed of college basketball personnel such as media members, coaches, sports information directors, and Hall of Famers. The winners will be announced along with recipients of other position awards on a date yet to be determined.
