Senior infielder Jordan Woolery of the No. 8-ranked UCLA softball team earned her third Big Ten Player of the Week award this season after helping the Bruins sweep Wisconsin, according to a March 9 announcement.
Woolery’s achievement marks her as the first UCLA player to receive three or more conference Player of the Week honors in a single season since Maya Brady in 2024. This recognition highlights her significant contributions to the team’s recent success.
During last weekend’s series, Woolery led UCLA in several offensive categories, including base hits (9), runs batted in (9), runs scored (7), home runs (3), doubles (3), total bases (21), and slugging percentage (1.750). Her performance helped extend the Bruins’ winning streak to 15 games. In Game 1 on Friday, she went 4-for-4 with two three-run home runs, matching her career high with six RBIs. Her second home run ended the game early for UCLA under run-rule conditions. This was her fifth career multi-homer game and second this season.
Woolery continued her strong play in Game 2 with another three-run homer and finished the weekend with a historic 4-for-5 outing on Sunday that included three doubles, tying a program record last achieved by Aaliyah Jordan in 2019. Entering the weekend, Woolery had only one four-hit game over her previous three years at UCLA but added two more such performances against Wisconsin.
The Walnut Creek native currently leads the country with 50 RBIs this season and ranks among national leaders in slugging percentage, home runs, and batting average. She is third in NCAA Division I with a 1.233 slugging percentage, tied for fourth with 14 home runs, and ranks sixteenth with a .507 batting average.
Woolery and the Bruins will continue their homestand with a contest against LMU on Wednesday, March 11 at Easton Stadium.
