Senior infielder Jordan Woolery from the No. 9-ranked UCLA softball team has received her second Big Ten Player of the Week award for this season after contributing to a 6-0 record at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
This is Woolery’s second career conference weekly honor, with her first coming in Week 1 of the 2026 season. Over six games, she led the Bruins (13-3) with 17 RBIs and four home runs, including two grand slams. She finished with a .444 batting average (8-for-18), a 1.222 slugging percentage, and six extra-base hits.
Woolery started the weekend against Auburn by recording her third three-hit game of the season. In that game, she hit a grand slam during an 18-run third inning—an achievement tied for the second-most runs scored in one inning in NCAA history. She collected a base hit in each of her three at-bats that inning and totaled eight bases (home run, two doubles). The grand slam was also her 50th career home run.
On Friday, Woolery contributed an RBI single against Nevada to help UCLA overcome a three-run deficit in the fifth inning. Later that day against No. 20 Duke, she hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the second inning that gave UCLA a lead they maintained for the rest of the game.
Saturday saw Woolery reach base all three times in game one versus Fresno State through a home run, walk, and being hit by pitch. In an evening matchup with No. 13 South Carolina, she drew a bases-loaded walk as part of UCLA’s comeback from four runs down; this walk marked her 200th career RBI during a five-run rally leading to victory.
In their final game of the weekend against Texas A&M, UCLA faced an early five-run deficit before Woolery delivered another grand slam—the second of her weekend and third this season—putting UCLA ahead for good.
UCLA will next compete at the Judi Garman Classic hosted by Cal State Fullerton from February 27 to March 1. They are scheduled to play five games over three days beginning with East Texas A&M and Florida on February 27 at Anderson Family Field.
