Seven former players from UCLA’s men’s basketball team have been included in the rosters for the NBA Summer League taking place in Las Vegas from July 10 to 20. The players are Amari Bailey (Minnesota), Jules Bernard (Golden State), Adem Bona (Philadelphia), Moses Brown (Houston), Jaylen Clark (Minnesota), Kobe Johnson (Atlanta), and Lazar Stefanovic (Orlando).
Four of these athletes might play as soon as Thursday, while Bernard, Brown, and Johnson are expected to play starting Friday. Thursday’s schedule features seven games at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion.
Johnson and Stefanovic were notable performers for UCLA in the 2024-25 season. Johnson earned a spot on the Big Ten All-Defensive Team, ranking sixth in steals per game with an average of 1.6. He started all 34 games, averaging 7.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Stefanovic also participated in all games, averaging 4.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
Bailey, Bernard, Bona, Brown, and Clark are returning participants of the NBA Summer League. Among them, Brown and Bernard have been with UCLA since summer 2018. Clark joined as a freshman in fall 2020; Bailey and Bona came as part of the recruiting class of 2022.
Bona was a second-round pick in the NBA Draft of 2024 and led his peers by playing in 58 games last season with Philadelphia. He averaged 5.8 points and had a field goal percentage of 70.3 percent.
Recently, Bona played for Philadelphia at the Salt Lake City Summer League while Bernard represented Golden State at the California Classic Summer League.
